Crossing Paris at the time of Covid-19

Paris, city of lights and first tourist destination in the world, looks funny in these times of pandemic. There was an order to stay at home. We are said to be at war. Bruno and I have nothing of war photographers but we have chosen to leave a photographic testimony of this period which we hope never to see again. The pure lights of the last few days make us eyes through the windows of our fifth floor. In this historic period, the desire to discover our city that we normally neglect takes over. Go out, see, photograph. Wandering the deserted streets of the city gives an impression of privilege. But when life seems completely absent a form of anxiety also arises. And in Paris, life is sorely lacking. The Concorde square is silent, the boulevard Saint Germain is empty, no tourist on the Champs de Mars or the Trocadero, the Latin quarter is too quiet ... We choose the emblematic places of Paris, the liveliest in normal times in order to show the void that currently covers the city. Alone in the world…
